Making Mondays: Cardboard Horses

Well, here I am, glass of wine by my side, dinner cooked and eaten, Yashar in bed and Senol working late...again.   Lucky I have all of you to talk to ;)

My husband and I (well actually me especially!) are into writing lists of goals.  One of my husband's goals from the start of this year was to have more creative play time with Yashar.  So I thought I would give him a hand with that and prepare some of the gorgeous cardboard horses using the tutorial and template from Ann Wood that I mentioned here a couple of weeks ago.

The templates Ann provides are gorgeous!  I really enjoyed cutting out the pieces of these just because I thought they were so beautiful.  I cut the pieces out during the day, ready for Senol and Yashar to paint and work on when Senol got home from work.  Hmmm...that didn't quite happen.    Of course the week that I planned to do this was the week that Senol had to work lots of late nights and extra hours on the weekend!

But anyway, here are the results!  We kept them quick and simple - perfect for Yashar's patience levels!  We blue tacked them up on the wall above Yashar's bed but they soon fell down so we moved them over to the window...which I love!

And Yashar loved making these.  We would make one at a time - and he would be asking all the time when we would be making them again.  Yay - I love it when Yashar loves it!

They look fantastic racing across the window, I love them too. I love the way you did their mane and I note some lovely colouring by some clever little boy. xx
